What Is the FTSE 100 Graph Index?

The FTSE 100 Graph Index is an index of 100 of the biggest capitalized companies that are included in the London Stock Exchange. The histories of the companies on this list are incredible. These are some of the investors that have made purchases at the right share prices in the stocks, had their share of great losses, and have made their mark on Nasdaq and Heng Seng forever. The FTSE 100 Graph Index companies are very experienced investors and very competitive when it comes to playing the game of stocks. The chart holds all 100 names of the companies and as companies shrink and expand names are added to the list and removed.

This FTSE 100 Graph index was created and maintained by the group FTSE. This company actually originated a bridge between the London stocks and the Financial Times stocks. It is published every 15 seconds so that when changes occur the investors know about it right away. This is called being calculated in real time. There are a total of 102 companies listed on the chart though because the companies Royal Dutch and Schroderfs have added 2 classes.

The trading for the shares start around 08:00 and end at 08:30pm. All the values are then taken at 8:35pm. The top 9 companies on the graph are Royal Dutch Shell, HSBC, BP, Vodafone Group, GlaxoSmithKline, Rio Tinto Group, AstraZeneca, BHP Billiton, and British American Tobacco. Each of these companies is in their own investment group like energy, financial, pharmaceuticals, mining, and tobacco to name a few. There are different investment groups on the graph and each there are their own professional investors who monitor the share prices and make the bids to but shares in the stocks. If one company like energy is low, it doesnft mean that another company like tobacco will be doing just as bad at the same time. If all stocks were to hit an all time low at the same time, we would call this a stock market crash, which is a catastrophe if it ever occurs.

There are some companies that used to be on the FTSE 100 Graph Index that arenft included on it anymore. Some of these companies include Allied Domecq, Baltimore Technologies, Celltech, and CMG just to name a few. When these companies went bankrupt or were bought buy other companies, their names changed and they forfeited their place on the graph. These companies may still be included on the graph but under a different name. With investors that specialize in the different areas of investments, companies are able to make their own bids on shares. If these investors buy or sell at the wrong time the company can lose a lot of money and be forced into bankruptcy.

The FTSE 100 Graph Index is consists of the highest capitalized UK companies of the London Exchange. These are companies that everyone on Wallstreet knows about; these are the companies that control everything from clothing to resources in the world. The companies that could bring us down into the great depression or take us up into Nirvana. This list my friends, is a list of the Wallstreet Gods.
